i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing1
Hi Everyone!

Yesterday, my good friend and fellow 'Mad Scientist', Ruth Bowers, wrote a great newsletter about the differences between being an Affiliate and being a JV partner. It was excellent and a must-read, so if you missed it - here it is!

So today, I would like to expand a bit further on that and dig into the reasoning behind a couple of the 'events' that Ruthie and I participated in - and why I referred to her above as my fellow 'Mad Scientist'....

You see, I love to experiment with new marketing ideas and concepts, and I have a tendency to dive in and just DO IT!! As it says at the top of this newsletter - I often have no idea what I am doing, but I rarely let that stop me ;-)

I am always dissecting the activities of successful internet marketers - and lucky for me, Ruthie is one of those peeps that is always up for something new and different to try!

Recently, we decided to test out some ideas on Warrior Plus, along with fellow Kitchen Sinkers (and Mad Scientists) Jan Small, Stephanie Hansen, and Helen Ross. After discussing some of my hare-brained ideas, we decided we needed a few more folks to really create the 'splash' that we were hoping for - but in order to make it fit our time constraints, we knew that we needed to limit participation to just a handful of peeps that met our very basic criteria: a common audience type, price point, and the ability (and willingness!) to move quickly. That was it!

Because of these parameters, we were able to put the project together and launch in about 10 days - something you could never do with the usual bundle or giveaway!

And we learned a lot from this quick little JV - without the blood, sweat, and tears of a major event! Ultimately, lessons learned from our recent 'experiments' will shape the activities planned for 2022 ;-)

The bottom line is that JVs can come in all shapes and sizes - they can be major long-term projects, like Ruth and Jenn's JV over at, or they can be the quick and casual ones like Meet The Creators.

No matter which model you choose - JVs are a great way to test out new ideas and concepts, and even launch new businesses that you could not easily do on your own!!
