LOL - I think this will be the new mantra for our new action/support groups!!

Well, the week started with a bang that got everyone's creative juices flowing with Ruthie's Creative Repurposing live webinar #1, and then yesterday was the first session of our Tiny Course's "Accountability/Support/Feedback /Whatever Ya Need" group. (This is the bonus for our subscribers who purchased Cindy Bidar's recent course, Tiny Courses through our link)

Yep, we plan to be & do all of that, and in spite of it being just the first session, I think we made an amazing amount of progress and clarity in a very short amount of time.

One thing that was clear during the call is that most people do not lack ideas - the issue is having too many ideas and deciding what to pursue first.
It is easy to get stuck in a paralyzing loop of internal discussion that makes taking action virtually impossible. And it happens to ALL of us at some point.
|
|
And believe it or not - no matter which idea you decide to move forward with first, the rest of your ideas will still be there when you come back to them ;-)
|
So our first task yesterday was to listen to each person's ideas and discuss the merits of each, based on ease to complete, time frame to market, and other factors. It was amazing to see how quickly everyone was able to narrow down the choices once they verbalized their options!
|
And never worry that someone else will beat you to market - because they will and you need to just accept it. The chances of you creating a course that is totally new and has never been seen before are pretty damn slim. There is really nothing new in the internet marketing space - but there are new potential customers coming into the niche every day and folks that have never seen YOUR take on the topic before, so no matter how many courses there are on any given subject, with the right marketing you can still find an audience.

To be very clear: this is not a 'one size fits all' group - some folks need an accountability partner, while some just want feedback and editing help once they get closer to a finished product. But the nicest thing about the group? We have a built-in network come launch time!

It's a great group - supportive and very interactive - and if this sounds like a good fit for you, you can still get in by purchasing Tiny Courses before our next session, Jan. 27. After that point, we will not be open to any new members, so that we can stay focused on the group goal - getting our courses done and launched!

And in case you are wondering....yes, I know we are still under quarantine, and I realize our President was just impeached...AGAIN...but I am making a conscious decision to focus on what I have some small amount of control over: my business and keeping the pantry stocked. That is pretty much it for now. I intend to stay positive and firm in the belief that we humans are resilient and resourceful and we will get through this.
