LIFETIME vs PAY-AS-YOU-GO
I've been getting a lot of emails asking if I am going to promote this lifetime hosting or that lifetime storage offer, and without exception, my answer is an emphatic "NO"! There are indeed some things that I will pay for a 'lifetime' membership or license, but it's usually those things that I classify as 'nice to have', rather than essential/critical to my business.
'Nice to have' typically are the various marketing or video programs that we all buy on AppSumo - you know the ones that we buy today for $47, knowing that it maybe 6 months or more before the product is REALLY what it is supposed to be.

But those services that are critical to my business - hosting, online storage for my graphics and products, my email services - these are the things that I rarely buy a life-time license for because I only want a known, trusted company handling these aspects of my business.
|
In the last few weeks, there have been offers for both lifetime unlimited hosting AND lifetime unlimited storage. Just from a technical perspective, these services are virtually impossible to maintain or at least maintain in a way that provides the customer with the quality of service and uptime expected and needed. And it is more common than not for these companies to quietly disappear after a few months.
|
Not all do - some do go on to become viable businesses, but it is rare. I know that it is tempting when you are first starting out to cut corners, and these seem like a great way to keep your monthly budget low, but for $25 or less a month, you can get pretty much everything you need to keep your business running safe. That's just a couple of affiliate sales a month!!! If you need some referrals, drop me an email, and I will be happy to send you the services that we use and recommend.

I did not pick this up when it came out the first time, but I jumped on it this am, and picked up both the FE and first OTO, and seriously considering the foreign language version as well. This is not just another app to add robotic-sounding voiceovers to your sales videos - this one actually lets you adjust the emphasis, speed, and pitch, as well as natural sounding breaks. It also gives you access to both Google and Amazon voices. One of my main goals for 2021 is to create videos for product reviews on YT and other sites for my affiliate marketing efforts, and this is a much faster way for me to do this than doing my own voiceovers. I will create my text product review in Keynote or Powerpoint, add a couple of product images, throw that text into VoiceBuddy, and in a few minutes - I have a review video WITH a voiceover.

What works, what doesn't and how to effectively be both a Content Creator AND an Affiliate Marketer. There has been so much stigma attached to Affiliate Marketing in recent years (you KNOW how many email services won't touch us!), but it's a wonderful business model if done CORRECTLY and ETHICALLY!! It's also a great way to diversify your revenue stream and provide evergreen revenue ;-)
