Hi, Everyone!

LOL My 'To Do' list is starting to feel more like a perpetual list, but at least I am never bored because there is ALWAYS something to do ;-)

One of the biggest questions that have come up in our recent Zoom sessions is the topic of mailing frequency: How often should you mail your list? How often is too often?

Recently I was on a webinar in the Self-Help niche, listening to a presentation by a list-building 'expert'...who recommended emailing your customers no more than 2x per week and not to sell them anything until they had been on your list for 6 months.

Yikes! Reality check, folks! You WILL get lost if in the shuffle if you don't show up frequently enough to be recognized. It IS a major commitment, but so is running a business - ANY business.

I try to email every day, although I do occasionally miss a day, and yes, most days, along with content I am usually trying to sell you something, either my own products or from a trusted vendor that I think you can use. But then - aren't we all trying to run a for-profit business? But I also try to add value, with content and free gifts that have value.

And this is where the 'mini' case study comes into play:
BC Stack was live from 7/19-7/25, and it was strongly 'suggested' that we mail multiple times a day, which I did not do, except for the last day. But I DID do some lengthy 'focused' emails on the bundle, and bumped up the bonus a couple of times....

On the last day, I DID mail twice, sending out one last "This is it" email late in the evening.

I DID get a couple of readers that said that they were tired of everyone promoting the event.....BUT the bottom line?

• For the week of promoting the bundle, I only had 2 readers click the unsub button.

• The last day (when I mailed twice) had the highest number of clicks, and the highest number of sales.

• The last day accounted for 25% of my total sales for the event!!

The bottom line? Don't be afraid to mail every day if that is what you want to do - but don't send out the 3-line 'Go buy this!!' garbage that we all get every day. Provide value and earn your space in the inbox!

And if you did purchase BC Stack through our link (thank you!) please be sure to send your receipt to [email protected] with the word "BONUS" in the subject line. We want to make sure that everyone gets to participate in the topic selection process!

• It's not often that I recommend software anymore, but this is one that I just bought this am from Richard Fairbairn and his crew: Marketer's Boost. You know those neat little 'social conversion' boxes that pop up on a site and tell you that someone just purchased the product? Well, this software gives you a total of 24 DIFFERENT little goodies to add to your website to boost your sales and conversions, and I snapped this one up as soon as I saw it! This is not a WP plugin, just a snippet of code that you add to your website, so you can use it on any site. Sorry - no bonus on this one for you! HINT: You get a discount if you start to leave the page, BUT if you want to offer the service to your clients or local businesses - stay on the page and pay the full price and you get several bonuses, including AGENCY RIGHTS!
