And it IS a happy Saturday here - Bob is feeling better - tired, but not nearly as congested - and his oldest son just returned from a business trek to Dallas, thought he had COVID, so actually rented a hotel room so he could be tested before going home, but tests came back negative. Bob's youngest son and his fiancee' are doing much better, and everyone is pretty much out of quarantine, and hopefully out of danger.
As Bob's doctor put it "the vaccines are keeping people out of the hospital, but most importantly - out of the ground."

Deceptive Marketing Practice...
have you been getting emails about
outstanding commissions?
I do not know who has been teaching new marketers this crap, but I have my suspicions....and I am sick of it! I have seen so many people on Facebook lamenting the fact that they are getting these emails stating that they have commissions 'on hold' and they need to 'click this link' to get their commissions released....and of course, you know what happens next: they wind up on another sales page and think they need to spend more money to get their commissions released. The problem is that these folks do not have any commissions due - but they have usually bought and tried so many different systems, that they think something might have finally worked, and so they fall prey to these scams and buy more useless products.

It's not often that I will 'out' a fellow product creator - but I will tell you one on WarriorPlus to avoid: Sir Branson. I have several of their products and all are almost identical, and the concept IS identical. The sales letters generally state that "XXX" is paying people for "just typing" or "just reading"- but the course is actually about 'reading' the various offers for job on freelance sites, Fiverr etc, for people looking for content producers, and essentially advises you to search the web for content that you can re-type and sell.
The best, though, (or worst depending on your POV) is the latest one that states that Amazon is paying people $11 an hour for reading....I went through the entire course and Amazon is not even mentioned in the course! I even reached out to their support and asked WHERE Amazon was mentioned in the course and I was told to simply "follow the instructions"....
This kind of marketing is despicable but unfortunately, but it's the mindset of so many people looking for that 'magic button' that makes these 'snake oil' salesmen successful.

The truly sad aspect of all of this is that if these people spent as much time taking action as they do looking for the no-work solution...most of them would actually be successful online.
|
But for too many people - if it looks like work, they avoid it. If it is going to take action...they buy something that promises easy.
|
|
The mindset too often is simply wishful thinking and not constructive action...and wishing only produces fortunes in fairy tales....and that leads me into two of my favorite pro-active thinkers and doers - Barb Ling and Dennis Becker....
|
|
|
|
Barb Ling and Dennis Becker are two long-time faves of mine: Dennis is the creator of one of the top-selling evergreen courses of all time: $5 A Day, which is almost a cult-fan fave on the basics of starting an online biz, and Barb is an unbelievable example of someone that has fought through all kinds of health issues to build a 6-figure++ business. Trust me when I say that they are considered icons in this business, and you will go a long ways to find 2 people with more experience and knowledge than this pair.

This is a deep dive into the tips and tricks these two have learned over the last 2 decades or so of earning a living online, and it is - in their words - "a no-holds-barred blueprint that virtually guaranteed.... *every* successful marketer has implemented themselves, right from when they were a "wet behind the ears" newbie up until the 7 figures they generate today."

Wow!! Yes, I have several video creation tools already - but this one takes it to a new level!! Check out the FLIPBOOK SKETCH DEMO - it's in a carousel slider about midway down the page - it is really impressive and I can see using this for my sales videos for planners, too! The creator of this software, Paul Ponna, has a long history in the video software space, and I have had good experiences with his other products, so I jumped on this one ;-)
BTW - 2 features that really stand out on this one:
You can create videos up to 10 minutes in length and render unlimited videos!
This is really an amazing software and I can't wait to create my first product video with it - should be this coming week!

Here are some other new launches that I picked up this week:
• Video Profit Engine
I am loving this!! SOOOO easy to use, and plays well with other plugins I have, too. George Katsoudas has been a trusted WordPress software creator for years but has not put out a major release in a couple of years. This is a very simple to use plugin that lets you build WP sites with YouTube videos, AND easily monetize your site with banners and affiliate links. If you want to be able to flip these sites later (a great side biz, BTW) be sure to pick up the dev option!

This is good - really really good - and a no-brainer at only $7.00!!!
Another great product by Kevin Fahey! Although this is not an 'original' concept - coming from Kevin Fahey - it carries more weight than it does from most in the IM world...this is a complete and REPLICATIBLE look into Kevin's business and exactly what he would do if he started over from scratch - and it's what he has done in the past 24 months to create new 6 figure businesses in niches where he had no reputation and no 'inside track' - in other words, situations like most of us are in when we start a new project.

• Domain Flipping Checklist (PLR)
Also from Kevin Fahey! Whether you use Kevin's checklists for personal use (I do!) or to add custom content to your planners and journals, this is one of the best he has released in a while! A great addition to a blogging planner - or use it yourself to build out niche blogs for flipping

• The Art of Reinventing Yourself
23 years ago this month, at the age of 45, I moved from Silicon Valley to Cincinnati OH - where I knew no one. I started life over and it was the best gift I ever gave myself. I love this sales page because it features a quote that I have on a poster in my office:
