Hope this finds everyone enjoying the season, and hopefully taking a bit of a break from the daily grind - even if it means just another kind of daily grind (like cleaning and cooking!). As much as I dislike housecleaning normally, I actually enjoy it this time of the year, because it is nice to start the New Year with a clean house. Ok, a clean office....but in reality, I will probably settle for a clean desk 😂
And that will likely be whatever I can wipe down without disturbing a cat....

The bottom line? If your family and friends just don't get what you do online - you are not alone! And some of you shared some pretty harsh stories, too, of being basically ostracized by family and friends because we don't fit the 'mold' everyone wants us to be in.
One thing for sure - there IS power in numbers, and we have the numbers!! While it would be wonderful if we all had that nurturing and understanding network of friends and family around us - most of us don't - especially when we were first starting out.
I have an amazing one now - but trust me when I say that was not always the case, and my mother will never understand my love for business. She hates it therefore, I should, too.

While my business model has changed and evolved over the years, my desire to return to the corporate world has not.
|
Hmmmm....nope. Not happenin'.

I stopped defending my career choice a looooonggg time ago, and simply let others come to their own conclusions about what I do from home. Pretty sure not everyone thinks it's totally legal, but that is okay. Keeps them from asking a lot of questions that I don't feel like answering at family get-togethers ;-)

I LOVE seeing how other marketers do things, how they view their business, and why they do the things they do! I spend more money on 'how to' courses in this area than I do on anything else - even chocolate!!
