Hi, everyone!!
For some reason, I am SO in the Christmas mood this year! Maybe it's the fun of doing the Digital Advent Calendar with Steph, Ruthie, Helen, and Jan, or maybe it's knowing that we are all vaccinated this year and can actually eat indoors together!
|
Last year was the infamous 'Christmas Eve dinner in the GARAGE' - we had rented round tables, gorgeous holiday tablecloths, candles - and outdoor heaters since the garage doors were all OPEN!! LOL - yes, we followed the CDC guidelines to the letter, even having catered box dinners rather than our traditional holiday buffet.
We were freezing, in spite of the heaters, but at least we were together, or at least most of us were here - one of our grandsons was in quarantine and his mom stayed home with him - but if nothing else - it was memorable!!

Confession time: I spent waaaaay too much on Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, but it was all either courses or software that I had been looking at for quite a while. I did not get everything that I wanted, because some of the sales were, well, not much of a sale IMHO, but I am really happy with what I did get and am booking time on my calendar to dive in and get things set up over the Christmas break.
My focus in the next few weeks is learning and implementing what it will take to get my business to the next level - but in order to do that - I have to first decide what that next level is!!

This part will actually be fun because I truly enjoy what I do - but the next phase is more than simply deciding that I want to make 'more money' (although I do, of course), or even setting a $$$ goal. I want to expand certain aspects of my business and add to the existing products substantially.
So I am setting aside an hour every morning for the next two weeks (yep, actually getting up an hour earlier every day so I have quiet uninterrupted time!) to brainstorm on where I want to be this time next year: what my product line will look like, what my revenue streams will consist of, and what my time commitments will need to be to achieve my goals.
I may hire a VA - but then again....I am hesitant to take on staff because I have managed teams in the past, and I am at a point in my life where I am not sure I really want that responsibility again - there are some things that can be handled with more automation and a more evergreen strategy for certain aspects of the business.
Whatever I decide, I know that 2022 is going to be a Good Year for us all. I can just feel it in my bones ;-)
