Hi everyone!!
Last night was amazing - although it felt really surreal being in such a huge crowd after all this time! As always, TransSiberian Orchestra was incredible and we had a wonderful time. There were definitely some changes to the show, that were COVID related (no meandering through the audience playing their violins), but I think the oddest part was that no one was required to wear a mask or show proof of vaccinations or testing - BUT women were not allowed to bring a purse into the venue. Strange times when the fear of mass shootings overtakes the pandemic....

Okay - the riddle of the day...why am I so glad it's Friday?? Friday means nothing to me in the grand scheme of things but somehow - I find myself in "J.O.B.-think" lately and that is just so ridiculous!!
|
TBH? After being self-employed since 1990 - finding myself thinking about the weekend or sometimes dreading Monday is just downright weird!
It had me baffled until it occurred to me that it probably comes from the fact that over the past year, I have been changing my own work schedule to better accommodate those with kids or traditionally-employed partners, so they can share their designated time off with them.
But by doing so...I find myself slipping back into that Monday-through-Friday mindset, and I do. not. like. that. For one thing, it tends to make me feel more pressured and less creative, and hey, I am 67. I ought to be able to do what I want when I want - at least that's what I tell myself ;-)
|
But the truth is that the whole point of being my own boss is to have more control over my schedule and my workload, and feeling like I need to cram it all into someone else's idea of the 'work week' has never been a good fit for me.
So there will be some adjustments after the holiday - which will mean good things for everyone are coming up soon. I will be focusing more on the things I enjoy doing - like creative traffic generation and designing new products that are FUN as well as profitable - so that can ALL have an amazing 2022.
