These past few weeks seemed to fly by because the schedule has been so busy. Seems like we would be off to Bob's Monday PT one moment and then BOOM! It was Friday already and I had no idea where the rest of the week had gone! But Bob's up and walking without any cane now and did some yard work today, so all is good! Tomorrow we are actually going to be with the family as we have 4 birthdays that we are celebrating through July, August, and September, plus two anniversaries, and with everyone's crazy schedules, we thought we would do it all in one fell swoop. So after the newsletter, off to do a platter of chocolate-dipped strawberries and homemade brownies with chocolate buttercream frosting. Not on anyone's diet but.....yummy, nonetheless!

We've had several interesting discussions over the last few Zooms that started with
newsletters - what to say, how often to send, etc - but as we dug in and answered questions, I realized that the issues and concerns were really not just about writing a newsletter.
|
The issue went much deeper than that when several people said that they had nothing to write about because they had not created any products yet.
|
Several people were sitting on lists that they built through participating in our events over the past year - but they had never mailed because they had not created a product yet and were not comfortable simply promoting others' products as an affiliate!
|
|
|
News Flash:
Only a handful of content creators make the majority of their income off of their own products - and most of those that do have a TEAM working with them!
|
|
There is still something of a stigma attached to affiliate marketing, but as long as you promote quality products, from people you know and trust - it's the perfect way to build your revenue stream and it can provide the consistent revenue that may be difficult to sustain from your own products.
|
Unfortunately, many people are simply not comfortable doing something that they perceive to be 'sales-y' but the bottom line is this: If you want to be successful online, and you want to break away from the J-O-B (and that must be your goal or you would not be here right now!) you HAVE to get over that fear of selling!
|
Whether you are a content creator or a coach or an affiliate marketer - you WILL be selling something if you want to make a living online. Whether you are selling your own product or your time or someone else's product or service - there will be an exchange of whatever you have to offer for $$$ at some point.
|
And that is OK!! Never feel guilty asking for the sale - it's how you keep that roof over your head and tuna in the kitty dish ;-)
|
