Ok, yes, it could be CAT Intelligence in my case, but let's go with Caffeine for now because I NEVER tackle writing without a fresh cup of coffee nearby ;-)

hmmmm......that could also be said about a cat....but I digress....

So, I admit it: as much of a geek/nerd as I am, even I am getting tired of hearing about ChatGPT.

And of course, everyone and their cousin has come out with a course on ChatGPT or other AI-related products. I understand that it is the hot topic of the day - but I am tired of courses being sold that do not tell you upfront that it is based on an expensive tool with no free or trial options. This has happened several times in the last 2 weeks...
|
Would I buy a course to learn more about using a PAID product? Of course, because that helps me get more value out of my investment. I am sure most of us have bought courses on Photoshop, Affinity, Canva, and more - but to sell a course and NOT disclose that it is based on a paid product is simply wrong!
There are 2 products that have launched this week that are excellent - Create Winning Sales Letters With ChatGPT from Jen at MyNAMS, and Auto PD Prints Made Easy, from Amy Harrop.

Both are reasonably priced and based on free tools. High recommendation for both of them!
|
A third course from Jonny Rose, The ChatGPT Alternative, is not quite so transparent but it is a very good overview of Jasper.ai, which does have a free trial that can be very easily extended. It's $12.95 right now, and the videos are a good walkthrough of the platform.

And as I have mentioned in the past - Jasper passed the AI vs Human test with flying colors at Originality.AI, so if you plan on using AI for serious content creation, it might be worth the Jasper membership.

A bit of cautionary advice to anyone interested in blogging or site flipping regarding the herd of 'site builders' that are popping up all over the place. Many of them seem like a great way to build a starter site because they also include a 'domain name' and hosting - but really make sure you read the sales page closely!! Even though they may include Commercial Rights, they are actually on a SUB-DOMAIN, not a Top Level Domain (TLD), making it virtually impossible to sell. And since it is not on your own domain or hosting you have ZERO control over the sites.
What you ARE doing is driving traffic and building Domain Authority for someone else....not what we want to do.
So don't hit the buy button unless it includes a WordPress plugin or integration so you can build your website on YOUR hosting and domain!!

I love that this one includes a really good mix of business 'traditional' as well as more fun contemporary styles, which are often tough to find.
Please note: I have not tried these yet with PPT for Mac - usually the animations do not work as well (or at all) but I am okay with that as I want to use some of the templates for slide presentations not just videos, and I really like some of the designs!
