I hope you had a nice lazy weekend - or an enjoyable one - whichever you prefer! I hunkered down and got SOOOOO much done this weekend - I love making progress ;-). To me, that IS relaxing!

And I managed to squeeze in a couple of quarters of the Bengals game today - along with some football snacks. Not on the diet plan, but it was fun ;-)

Some Caveats Regarding AI Content - Especially The Free Generators:
There have been a lot of newsletters and posts on Facebook with some comments that have me very concerned about people's plans for ChatGPT and other similar 'content' generators. I have seen people state that they are using them for blog posts, for writing children's books, e-books, courses, long-format articles, and more.

To date, I have written several articles using ChatGPT and Jasper, and run everything through Copyscape for plagiarism checking - everything scored perfect as original copy.
|
But based on Google's recent guidelines and what I have been picking up in the SEO groups, the new AI checker tools are getting very accurate at picking up AI-generated content, so I ran content produced by both ChatGPT and Jasper through 3 different such tools.

All 3 of them scored the ChatGPT content as 100% AI generated - and the Jasper content as 99% likely to be human-written - even though I had not touched the content!

I think this may be because ChatGPT and many similar tools utilize the open-source AI code, OpenAI, and all content generated then becomes part of the code/database. In other words - the content it produces on your behalf then becomes part of its openly accessible database and can be found by these various AI content 'checker' tools.

And if these new third-party tools can figure out if it is AI - I am willing to bet that Google can too LOL
|
So it goes back to what I advised in the last newsletter - use it for ideas, brainstorming, research and so much more, but do not use it to replace your writing efforts when it comes to blog posts and articles unless you want to get on the wrong side of Google!
I did find a very inexpensive tool that seems darned accurate for checking for both AI and plagiarism - and it is even cheaper than my favorite Copyscape! - I strongly suggest that you run your content through it just to be safe - it only costs a few pennies per article! Originality.ai - it scored everything that I tested accurately!

I have had access to ChatGPT for quite a while and it has improved tremendously since it was first launched, and it is much easier to use now.
The basic training applies to pretty much any of the AI writing tools and is really an eye opener - just one caveat - I would really hesitate to create recipes for publication without testing them first - I have seen a few that definitely were NOT going to turn out too well LOL
