My resident elf, aka, my hubby, has been running around here putting lights on everything he can find. He is a crazy Christmas person and I just stay here in the office, out of his way. It is safer this way 🎄 and I can avoid being decked out with a string of lights....usually.....
Business-wise, a crazy busy day here - and it is my own fault! I decided at the last minute to create the new planners with BOTH Sunday and Monday starts.

This has been a long-time request but TBH - I have always used a MONDAY start calendar, which to me makes the most sense. I mean Saturday and Sunday are called the WEEKEND, collectively - so why would a calendar start on Sunday?? That's the 7th day of the week not the first - so why do calendars start on the last day of the week? LOL yeah, I know, I have a tendency to over-analyze a bit....

Interestingly - most of the rest of the world starts their calendars on Monday....ah well...
|
Anyway, I caved, and this month's PLUS planners are available with both Monday and Sunday calendars, and the black and white Digital versions will drop today, with more dropping every day over the next few days.
I love the new tabless concept - and have some great ideas on how to use the new format to quickly create ebooks, workbooks etc, all fully hyperlinked ;-)

A Case for Using a Link Cloaker!!
|
There are lots of reasons to use a Click Tracker/Link Cloaker - everything from seeing where your traffic is coming from to simply creating a more visually appealing and usually shorter affiliate link - but this week has brought home with great impact why we should be diligent in using these links not just in our newsletter but also on our websites:
Yesterday, a pair of highly respected and widely promoted bloggers announced that they were shutting down their Affiliate program December 31. Now, if you just did a quick glance at the email, you would think that this was temporary - a glitch with a new custom platform - but if you read the email very closely - you would see that it also used the phrase "WHEN AND IF" they revive their affiliate program...meaning there are no guarantees that they are bringing the program back...and even if they do - all of the affiliate links are already broken....ouch.

This is a program that is WIDELY promoted and plays a significant role in many people's monthly incomes....
|
That is the joy of using a cloaker - all you do is change the destination in the software and you are now sending future visitors to an alternative program ;-) They only take a couple of minutes to set up but can save you a lot of grief in the future.
And I admit that I have not been as diligent about this tactic as I should be - but considering that many course creators and others have been lowering their affiliate commissions - events like this should be a reminder that we need to protect ourselves and remember the value of our traffic - even when merchants seem to forget.
