I hope this finds ya'll doing something fun, whatever that may be. I am working today and yes, to me that is actually fun. I also freely admit that if the weather was not totally sucky I would probably be doing something MORE fun, but hey, we pivot as needed.
|
And one thing about an online business is that there is ALWAYS something that you can find to do...or in my case, LOTS of somethings 😃
|
And while I really would like to just spend my days making 'pretty things' and drinking coffee - or mocha lattes with extra whipped - the truth is that there are a LOT of things that I want to move forward on in the coming year.
|
If you have been on our Kitchen Sink Mastermind Zooms recently, you know that we have been talking a lot about our paths forward, both individually and as a group, in 2023.
|
|
As a group, we will be focusing more on traffic generation, learning and USING SEO and smart optimized content to increase website visits and build our lists.
|
For me personally, so much was going on in the background over the last 3 years - on top of COVID and my business - that I was pretty much running on overwhelm all the time. A lot of things that I really wanted to do had to be set aside because I simply did not have the bandwidth.
|
By 2022, I was worn out and did not hit my goals (being totally transparent - they WERE huge - but why not??) but I have decided to give myself a 'hall pass' for 2022, and jump into 2023 as a new opportunity to do what I want ;-)
I will continue to grow my core business, but I will be adding a Podcast to the mix, doing more on Facebook, and (this came as a surprise to me!) I really want to do more live Workshops and courses.
I discovered that I enjoy teaching and sharing what I have learned working online for almost 2 decades!

I will be doing more of this in three ways: Podcasting, blogging (love to write!), and courses.
|
The Podcast is tentatively titled "Chats with Mel: The Homepreneurs Adventure" and will feature interviews with home-based business owners, and my own tidbits of knowledge and insight after almost 20 years of working online.
|
Blogging is being mapped out right now and will be a joint project with the Hubby. We have a good history of building and flipping websites, and it is a really, really good market right now. People are looking for income that they can control, without spending hundreds of thousands on a franchise and physical location. And this is something that we can do with automation and AI to do the 'heavy lifting' of the content generation, then clean up and optimize manually with plugins like RankMath. (Other tools we are using are listed below)

Workshops and courses are fun, and can generate a good income, too, but sometimes I look at the market and it is overwhelming, so not sure what is left that I can help people with?
|

But I have also purchased so many courses that were so thin and had so little to do with the title! I never want to be like that, so I find myself hesitating to do more courses, even though I enjoy our Workshops so much and the feedback has been terrific!!
|

Our groups are always so lively and so much fun, but I want to make sure it's something that you want to learn, something that you don't feel like you are getting somewhere else, and most importantly - something that will help you get to your goals!
