This turned out to be a lovely weekend weather-wise, which was a nice surprise! The dogwoods outside my office are bright red, and the flowers in the garden are still in full bloom, so the yard is very colorful right now. I am enjoying every minute that I have this view because I know it won't last much longer! The deer are already changing colors as well - going from the beautiful bright red of summer to the darker tan that blends so well with the trees in the winter. Not crazy about winter but each season brings its own beauty with it.

I have been working diligently on this month's new PLUS release, which will hopefully start dropping tomorrow - but I keep coming up with more things to add to it LOL! This release is a 2023 Marketing planner, which is something that I wanted for myself as well ;-), and I think I will be adding a couple of spreadsheets to it this month as well, so it's going to be a good-sized one this month!

One of the toughest things to keep organized every day...week...month...are bundles and affiliate promotions, but let's face it - they are both critical to most of us as ways to grow our business and our revenue, but staying on top of pesky things like submission deadlines and launch dates is a killer, so I am revamping all of my systems for 2023 - and you will get them in this PLUS release!

Affiliate marketing AND Affiliates play a huge part in the day-to-day workings of my business - and trust me, this is a business, not a hobby! While I don't do monthly revenue reports (sorry, that is just putting a bullseye on you with the FTC), being on both sides of that Affiliate 'fence' is critical to my revenue.
|
On a monthly basis, my income is split almost evenly between revenue I have earned as an Affiliate, revenue I earn on my own sales of my products, and revenue generated by Affiliates promoting my own products.
|
While many people are cutting Affiliates' commissions, I am not and will not because I consider sales made by my Affiliates to be "Icing on the cake" as the saying goes. These are sales made to people that may not be on my own list, and would therefore never have seen my product if it were not for the efforts of the Affiliate.
|
Many course creators are cutting commissions to 40% and a few even to 20%, and I think this is very short-sighted.
|
First of all, being an Affiliate - a GOOD Affiliate - is not cheap and it IS time-consuming. Not only do I generally buy the product first (especially courses!), I then take the time to go through it and TBH - I reject more products than I share with you!
|
And for the record - PRICE is definitely NOT an indicator of QUALITY these days! I purchased courses just in the last week for $9 that were home runs - and $97 courses that totally bombed!
|
And nope, I did not promote the $97 one! LOL
|
And getting started as an Affiliate is not easy because if you are new to the space, it can be tough to get approved as an Affiliate.
|
As someone who has Affiliates - I can tell you that you will have a better chance of getting approved if you buy the Vendor's product first, and can then reach out with intelligent and relevant comments about the product, and why it is a good fit for your list and/or the methods that you plan to use to promote it.
|
And be honest - every day I reject a dozen 'Affiliate' requests for my products on WarriorPlus because they have taken a course that tells them to say that they have a list of 200k and they have 1m followers on social media.
|
Ummm....nope, they don't. Application rejected.
|
Being an Affiliate is work, but it is a great way to make a living, and by promoting GOOD solid products - you are also helping others to get their businesses moving forward as well. You are not just being paid for sending out a simple email - you get paid for doing solid research and recommending something that can help another business owner. THAT is what a good Affiliate does ;-)
|
It can be tough getting started and finding your 'sweet spot' but it's worth the work and effort and sooner or later, you will find what works for you and your audience.
|
And when you get to the point where you have your own Affiliates - remember your own journey and treat them well ;-)
|
One of the products that I purchased today to review as an Affiliate ;-) is a new release by James Renouf and Jeremy Kennedy, Secret Traffic Hack. I bought the main product and the first two OTOs, and I have to admit that when I first watched the main video, I was like "Meh! Not impressed" because although it is a way to contact and get people's attention for FREE - you can only do this with 200 people at a time, which is not all that great....and then it hit me!
THIS IS A FREAKING AMAZING WAY TO REACH YOUR AFFILIATES TO ALERT THEM TO YOUR UPCOMING NEW LAUNCHES!!
Seriously, this is genius and I don't think Jeremy and James even realize what a goldmine this could be if used for this purpose!!

And, yes, I am going to let Jeremy know ;-) He is a super nice guy and would love to hear this!
|
I also bought OTO1 and 2 - 1 is a very low-cost ($9) monthly group and OTO 2 is about getting the #1 spot on Google, and is very good as well, but the front end is a stand-alone product so you do not need anything else to make it work.
|

As I said above, when I first went through the main product, I was not real impressed because it is about a rather unique use of something that 99% of us use on a regular basis - BUT NOT LIKE THIS!!

And while I will admit that it is a genius tweak of the system - you are limited basically to only sending your message out to 200 people...and then I realized that this could be used for a specific 'reach out' and the system would be GENIUS when used for this niche!!
