I am still coughing thanks to allergies and bronchitis, getting better every day, but will probably still be coughing until the first cold snap hits and the pollen disappears.

A Trend I Am So Not Liking......
|
I have noticed a trend among product sellers over the last few weeks that I find pretty irritating as a consumer, so thought I would mention it here and see if I am just being grumpy (entirely possible!) or if others find this annoying as well.
|
Vendor sends newsletter promoting a new product. Description is brief, with a link to...somewhere. I click on the link, expecting to be taken to the sales page, where I will be greeted with full details of the new product.
|
Instead, I wind up on the checkout/shopping cart page, with a description more like a bump offer than the usual descriptive sales page for a new product launch. In other words - there are about 3 sentences and the buy button....
|
Now, I am willing to take the chance for an offer that's under $20, but some of these products lately have been in the $97 and up range. Some were SERIOUSLY up....
|

Maybe I am getting old and grumpy. Maybe I am just being cheap. I don't know, but I DO know that I would like to have some idea of what the hell I am buying!
|
Seriously, is that too much to ask? I know that sales pages are a pain in the tush to create and write - but if you want my money...don't you think you owe me the courtesy of at least giving me more than 3 sentences about the product?
|
Just sayin', folks, as one product creator to another - I want my customers to know exactly what they are getting when they shell out their money. If there are any surprises, I want them to be GOOD ones.
|
And as a customer, I want to know what I am buying. It doesn't need to be fancy but those 3 sentences on your shopping cart page are just not doing it for me.
|
On the other hand - I DiD save quite a bit this week on products that I did not buy LOL!!
|
Would love to get your feedback on this one - so hit reply and let me know if I am just being grumpy or this is getting to be an issue! This happened to me at least 4 times this week!
