Yesterday I sent out the very special email message below but even though it showed in my dashboard that it went out....it also showed ZERO opens, clicks, etc. 3 support tickets went unanswered until just minutes ago. I cannot tell you WHY the emails went out because it would cause this one to not be sent too...so I have removed the 'offending' link, and will share full details on our next Kitchen Sink. Today is my favorite hubby's birthday! LOL, yep I did SOOOO much better the second time around ;-) He's a great cook, enjoys doing silly, goofy, fun things with me, and has a wonderful family that is now mine as well. He feeds our visiting Canada geese (we call him Father Goose) and is the proud kitty daddy to 3 adorable 'girlz'.

I even drink wine with his ex at our family get-togethers ;-)

All in all - he is a keeper, so a big Happy Birthday to my sweetie!!

Someone reached out yesterday and asked a couple of very valid questions:

Why would I start a podcast when my main product is PLR planners?
|
|
How could I show my products on a podcast?
|
And isn't a podcast time-consuming?
|
And here are my responses:
First of all, I am not limiting my podcasts to just PLR/low content. My focus will be more on homepreneurs, who we are, what we do, and how we got here. I've had so much fun over the last 2 years with our Homepreneur Summits that I really want to do more in this niche because there are so many fascinating stories out there!
A great example is David Perdew: we all know him as the founder of NAMS, but prior to that he was a journalist! Myself? I spent almost 30 years in the international payments industry, building custom platforms for the online casino industry! A far cry from creating Digital Planners!

But I plan to do video interviews so I will be able to offer both formats, allowing my audience to choose their preferred format.
|
As to finding the time - since podcasts of this type tend to be relatively short - not our usual 2+ hours Kitchen Sink marathons - I intend to set aside one day per month to do 4 interviews, always trying to be at least 3 weeks ahead on the schedule. To start, I will release/publish one interview per week ;-)
|
But the biggest 'why' overall is this: Podcasts are a great way to engage your audience, to put your name and your brand 'out there'. It drives traffic in ways that not many things will, and it is very inexpensive to get started. Yes, you can go pro from day one and buy expensive equipment - but for most of us - not necessary.
|
Many of the podcast platforms will submit your podcast to multiple directories - and those profiles, with your WEBSITE LINK, all count when Google starts finding them, so you will see your site authority grow and your organic results get better.
|
All in all - a win-win of major proportions ;-)
