First of all, to those that said goodbye to their Queen today, my sympathies. She was an amazing woman, and I hope that someday our country is blessed with a female leader with her compassion, understanding, insight, and skills. She will be missed.
|
You may not have noticed, but I haven't been in your mailbox in a couple of days, and so much has happened that I hardly know where to begin!
|
1) Bob and I were talking about downsizing and moving before COVID and obviously, put it off...but I put it out to the Universe recently that I did not want to deal with the hassles of open houses and showings and so would really appreciate a nice surprise offer. BOOM....2 weeks later the parents of the folks that live just down the road, on the other side of the pond...sent us a letter with an offer. A good offer. Thank you ;-)

Now I am in panic mode because we have no idea where we are going - but that will work out too.
|
2) 12 years ago, I moved my mother from Reno, NV to The Villages in FL. She hates it, and just announced that she is moving to Cincinnati, which she also hates. She has been here once. To say that we have a difficult history is an understatement. To say that we are two totally different types of people is 1000X more of an understatement. But she is 87, living on her own with her rescue doggie, Murray, and I have to find a way to make it happen for the two of them. Hopefully, the universe knows of a nicely-priced one-story duplex LOL ;-)

So, the next 6 months will be interesting, to say the least. I am so very grateful that I can work from anywhere and do not need to worry about finding something close to work or school or whatever - but this will still be challenging!
