Whew! What a roller coaster this summer has been - either gray and stormy or miserably hot and humid. Seems to be nothing in between this year. Today is one of those "YOW!! It's Summer" days and it's not even noon yet.
Getting this out a bit earlier than usual today as I wanted to send out the Zoom reminders to all - before the Zooms actually start LOL

But truthfully, there are so many external influences that affect our businesses, that I like to get information and news from the source ;-). It's safer and a LOT more accurate.

And this morning - there are some interesting news in the social media space - after beta testing in the UK, TikTok has decided to drop its rollout of 'Livestream' shopping.
|
Although it has been very successful for its parent company, it never took off for TikTok, and plans to launch the service in the US and EU have been scrapped.
|
If you doubt that we all need to be seriously looking at YouTube again - according to a joint study conducted by YouTube, Publicis and TalkShoppe, 89% of viewers agree that YouTube creators give recommendations they can trust. (And yes, I am not oblivious to the fact that YT was a party to the study that has a positive outcome for YouTube).
|
Possible snarky comments on the average YT audience aside - these are stats that are tough to ignore and could mean that YT is going to become a marketplace force to reckoned with. Not tomorrow, but it's something we should be aware of!
