Hope this finds you chipper and cheerful and enjoying some springy weather! If watching the trees fly by your window is springy, then we are enjoying lots of springy weather today. And yes, I did mean trees and not birds - our temps have been a rollercoaster from 32F to 75F and back to the 30s again today, with 60 mph winds. Between the winds and the raccoons fighting on the roof - there was not much sleeping going on here last night!

We have had some amazing Zoom sessions this week - my brain is on hyperdrive with all of the great ideas and info shared by our members. I am always amazed at the depth of knowledge and the generosity of spirit in our group. You have made the last 2 years into something far more than I could have imagined, and I am grateful for all of you!! I can't wait to see what we do together in the next 3 quarters!

And As Promised - More WordPress Resources...

First up, if you do not know what ADA stands for, it's time you learned! Although at the federal level, VERY few of us qualify as businesses that need to comply with the requirements, there are two facts that you need to be aware of:
1) 1 out of every 4 visitors to your website may not be able to fully view or utilize your website due to a disability and;
|
2) Almost 12,000 lawsuits were filed last year against small businesses that were not deemed compliant - even though many did not meet the threshold set by the federal regulations. "Gray areas" in the requirements have made it possible for the states to set their own mandates, meaning that pretty much every business, including websites, needs to be compliant.
|
A word of advice - you may need to try more than one to find one that is compatible with your theme or site builder. I am now using the free version of UserWay, which had been highly recommended to me, but it broke my Divi-built website the first two times I tried it. I recently tried it again, after a recent Divi update, and everything (fingers and toes crossed) seems to be working this time.
