Oh. My. Goodness....the sun is finally out! Yes, it is still frigid cold out there, but I don't mind the cold as much as the gray skies. Overall, I am a pretty optimistic person most of the time - yes, I even wake up cheerful most days - but the gray skies were starting to get to me, so glad to see some blue out there!
|
Yesterday, I included a list of both Free and Premium plugins that I use, and I have included them again at the bottom of today's newsletter in case you missed it.

WordPress has some big changes on its roadmap in the coming months and it will be interesting to see where it goes. It does kind of look like they are looking to replace the need for external site builders, with an eye on being able to return to the days of being able to switch themes without breaking the entire website, but that may be wishful thinking. Personally, with my newer sites, I am sticking with simpler, lighter themes and trying to keep the functionality with the plugins and not a theme builder that I will get stuck with.

Website styles change, and the easiest way in the past to update the look and feel of your site, was to simply change the theme, but that is not the case these days - if you use a builder such as Divi, Elementor, Thrive, Beaver Builder, etc - changing to a theme that uses another builder necessitates a complete re-build of your website, not an easy or fun task!
|
The bottom line? Make your website decisions knowing this going in - and if possible, keep your use of the builder only to special pages, such as sales or landing pages, and use the default layout for posts and other pages. This will make any changes later on down the road a LOT easier!!

One of my big goals this year is getting a podcast started (yes, coming soon!) and finding a way to make better use of the GAZILLIONS of Workshops and Zooms I've done over the past year!! Good grief!!! Hundreds of hours of information and training that is not being utilized to their full potential!
|
And by potential, I do NOT necessarily mean turning them into courses or selling them - I would love to use them just as open training and driving traffic, but really was not sure quite how to do that without spending a LOT of time on the project (which I do not have!) until today with the launch of StreamReels.

This is a new release today from Abhi Dwivedi, and while I have not had time to go through it yet - I have many of his other products and they all work as advertised, so I snapped this one up as soon as it was available!

The basic version is only $37 today and includes a TON of features but in a nutshell: this lets you stream live to Facebook Profiles, Facebook Groups, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, YouTube Channels, Twitch, and 4 Custom RTMP, and much, much more - including but not limited to:

- Add multiple guests in the broadcast,
- Share your screen,
- Schedule the Broadcast to a future date,
- Create & LIVE Stream videos of up to 30 minutes
- Create & Run Upto 100 LIVE Streams (Live or Pre-recorded)
There are several OTOs, but the basic version lets you do so much that most people won't need any of the OTOs.
I actually purchased 2 of the OTOS (unusual for me, as you know) - the first one is for unlimited length videos and includes Instagram & Tik Tok, so that was a no-brainer for me (HELLO!!! Some of those Workshops are 3 hours long...), and then the very last one which lets you add interactive buttons and opt-in forms over the videos. And you know how cheap I am - but I really felt that they were a super-smart addition to the core product and fit well with my long-term plans.
I am really excited about this product because this is a great way to maximize the time that I have spent on these Workshops, without taking hundreds of hours to post them all over the web!!

WordPress Plugins That I Love & Use!
I use this on several of my niche sites, and it will be in use shortly on PLRoftheMonth.club as well. Lower your bounce rate and increase your revenue or list-building efforts by capturing a departing visitor's attention with a full-screen 'takeover' ad as they start to move their cursor towards the browser bar. I also love that they are using this on the sales page - see a demo by heading for the top of the page ;-)

Rank Math
This comes in both a free and paid version, and is hands down my fave for optimizing content! It makes optimizing your post, excerpt, and schema SO easy, and without creating content that sounds spammy. Highly recommended! (This is what we used to optimize the articles for the Kevin Fahey Traffic Shotgun Boot Camp!)

There are so many reasons why a visitor might land on a 404 page on your website - from typos to pages that get moved or re-named. Fabulous free way to back up your website, and even more everything to a new web host if you need to. Have been using this one for years.
|
Both of these are excellent for creating a TOC in your long-format "Pillar" posts. Both are very popular with millions of downloads, and TBH - I have been using Table of Content, however, when writing this piece, I. discovered that it has not been updated in 9 months, while Easy Table of Contents was just updated 2 weeks ago.

Although I use RankMath, both of these are excellent as well, established, always updated and supported, and highly recommended. Both now have free and paid versions. Personally, I suggest you try them all out, including RankMath (above), and choose the one that you like the best because it really is something of a personal preference here.

Duplicate Page
LOVE THIS ONE!!! This has saved me so much time over the years! Create your landing or optin page, sales page or blog post template, then simply click, and BINGO!! Your page is cloned as a draft, and you are ready to go with just a few minor changes for the new product. It's been a lifesaver time and again for me!

These are gorgeous!! Spring may not be here in Cincy yet - but I can fake it till we make it with Ruthie's gorgeous new pack! This is my fave pack to date - really beautiful!! I think the colorized versions (shown above) would be perfect in your journals and planners! Dividers, month pages, covers, even stickers - really gorgeous!
