It's said the universe abhors a void - matter will rush in immediately to fill an empty space, like whenever I clean out my closet, it somehow seems to fill back up again pretty quickly. (Or it could just be that I can't say no to a good sale and cute leopard t-shirt...).
|
But this week I was UBER productive, zipping through projects, and was on track for everything that needed to be done, to the point that I thought I would be able to take all of Sunday off to enjoy the Super Bowl festivities. In case, you have been asleep for the past couple of weeks or are reading this from another galaxy - our Cincinnati Bengals are in Super Bowl for the first time in more than 30 years, so the town is just a TINY bit crazy right now ;-)

But instead of having some free time, the whole MilaPoet suspension thingie happened and I spent the last two days getting moved over to Mailvio.
But that is not really a bad thing - it gave me the kick in the tush that I needed to make the move (finally) and I am super impressed with what I have found. Yes, a bit of a learning curve for me, but it will be worth it just for the ease of setting up new automations.

The main issue holding me back before was that Mailvio was not integrated with aMember but I will be getting that started on Monday ;-)
|
Now about the concept of Evergreen....
Not talking about the bushes in your hedge - this is about creating revenue streams that are evergreen, and not reliant on the next launch to promote. It's about monetizing your website and your autoresponder sequences so that even if you take a few days off or there is nothing that is going to wow your audience launching this week - you still have revenue coming in!
This is especially important as affiliates since affiliate income is reliant on the actions of others, and that means that we are always looking for the next SOLID launch coming up that is relevant and helpful to our readers and visitors.
If you are a member of the Kitchen Sink Mastermind, then you know that one of our big goals for the coming year is generating ORGANIC traffic to our websites...which is awesome....but how do you monetize that traffic? Because, let's face it - traffic is great but unless you get $$$ from that traffic - it's just stats to brag about, right?
Bragging ain't gonna buy kitty food.

But the solution is relatively simple: with a good mix of current offers (your own products if you are a content creator + others that you promote as an affiliate) PLUS evergreen offers that you do not need to worry about changing out every week (A total PITA!!) - you have a well-monetized site and newsletter.
|
And if you look at what the high-earning bloggers do - they are all experts at making the most out of every bit of traffic that comes to their sites
Over the past 2 months, I started picking up OTOs with reseller rights, as well as getting approved as an affiliate for a variety of different software and services that I use and am comfortable recommending. Getting approved for some of these is something of a 'process' and much more time-consuming than what we are used to!! I am now in the process of creating ad blocks and a resources page for these products.
But it is all part of the long-term strategy of building out a broad and solid foundation for the business, one that is built on multiple streams of revenue, and not depending too heavily on any single income source.

Want to run your own marketplace?

This one just launched today and is a really interesting concept and something that will be of interest to many, including myself! This new software lets you run a Fiverr or Envanto style marketplace that you can open up to other content/product creators to sell their own products and services as well as your own.
Having spent the last several months looking at directory and marketplace software - I can honestly say that there is nothing out there even close to this price range with these kinds of features.
On the con side - I have not tested this out yet, but the team behind it has a good track record so far. I DO prefer to host my own software, but in this particular niche, it is almost impossible to find this type of platform at a reasonable price that you can host yourself.
On the pro side: The price is excellent for the features included, and I think it could be a great way to drive traffic and generate a nice little additional revenue stream as well.
