Well, I had a pretty good night's rest and woke up to a steady snowfall for the first couple of hours, but the rest of the day has just been gray and dreary. But it's okay because I knew that TACOS were on the menu for dinner today, so that brightened the day considerably. And, yes, seriously, I could in fact eat tacos every day, and be a happy woman, a fact that still baffles my poor hubby after 20 years together. Ah well, his loss ;-)
But dinner was early today - more like a late lunch - because I could not wait, and it was indeed totally delish ;-)
If you have emailed this week, and not had a response, please reach out again - this has been a busier week than normal, and I might have missed it!
One of the biggest issues I have is that I get a HUGE amount of email - I am setting up more email addresses to help segment the incoming stuff more, but the vast majority of it is NEWSLETTERS!!
Yes, I could cut down on the sheer volume of email just by unsubbing from those newsletters, but I learn more about what is going in the online business world in a few minutes skimming them every day than I could learn all day long surfing Facebook or scanning tweets.
After every event that I participate in - giveaway or paid bundle - I hear the same complaints from people that are ticked off that they are now getting emails from the people that participated in the event.

Seriously? Why? These events are for LIST BUILDING and nothing else. The participants are not giving people awesome deals on their products just because they are super nice people. We participate in these events to build our list, and to hopefully sell more products in the future ;-)

If you are one of those people that immediately unsubscribe from every list after you download the product you purchased in the bundle or the free gift you just opted in for - you are doing not only the product creator but yourself a huge disservice!

Stay on the lists for at least a week - I really prefer 30 days - and read every email you get! Take note of the flow, the funnel that you are being put through. Make note of what you like and what you don't like. Did you get any more free gifts? Were you bribed in any way to stay on the list? Did it work? Yes? Then ask yourself why - and if it did not, ask yourself the same question!

Start looking at those emails and newsletters as a chance to see
what your competition is doing, not as spam.

Quit complaining about it and start learning from it! Start building your own swipe file instead of filling up the spam folder, and you will be amazed at what you might learn in 30 days ;-)
