Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I played hooky for a couple of hours and went to the Krohn Conservatory to see the BUTTERFLIES!! This event is held every year, and we missed last year, so I wanted to make sure were we made it this year. This was spectacular as the room was FILLED with giant bright blue butterflies, which were unfortunately than my camera! And every time they would land they would close their wings and blend into the tree trunks perfectly. At one point I was surrounded by a cloud of them and felt like I was in the middle of a Disney cartoon - it was magic and a great break from the computer that was much needed.

The first sign of fall is here: Not falling leaves, it's the hubby glued to his computer screen, pasting sticky notes all over the desktop, comparing notes from ESPN and CBS Sports as he prepares for the SECOND Fantasy Football draft of the week. I think he has cut back to 3 this year, and I seriously don't know how the poor man deals with the stress LOL But, TBH, it's his worst vice so I really can't complain - and the main one has been around now for more than 25 years, with three generations competing now. Definitely fun to see Bob and his 15 yr old grandson 'trash talking' via text before a game ;-)

The Whats and Whys of Our WarriorPlus $5

"Meet The Content Creators" Adventure...

I've had a lot of questions regarding our little WarriorPlus 'adventure'. For the record, I have been in sales and marketing all of my working life - starting with being the Advertising Manager for both my high school yearbook and newspaper, (where I broke all sales records for the 10 years previous) all the way through the last 50+ working years of my life. Coming up with fun new ways to get new customers or re-gain the attention of our current ones is what I do. It's fun and it makes money...which, interestingly enough...I think is fun. ;-)

I will do a more in-depth recap when the event is over but here are my responses to the most common questions I have received so far:

1) How did you pick this group of people? I never saw this event announced!
It was never announced because this was not a 'formal event'. Some of us were chatting on Zoom one afternoon about a totally unrelated event and discussing other ways to get exposure to new markets and I said "HEY!! Let's throw something together on WarriorPlus and see what happens". As I said previously - I have a bad habit of doing things like this ;-)

There were actually a couple of others involved originally but life got in the way for them. This was really put together just that informally.

2) Doesn't this devalue your products?
Have you ever heard of a Lead Magnet?? Have you ever purchased a Bundle of 40 or 50 products for $27? Of course you have! And no one seems to think that those products being given away or sold for pennies on the dollar are being devalued in any way. In fact - the contributors and affiliates on this project did very well - each Contributor received 100% on their personal sales of BOTH the FE and the OTO, minus fees, and the Affiliates received 100% on the FE and 50% of the OTO. When was the last time a Bundle did that?

To take it a step further - the products on the FE and OTO price out at 63¢ & $2.125 respectively. The value of a product in that bundle of 40 products selling for $27? 68¢ and everyone seems to think it is a great deal.

3) Why was the OTO priced so low?
Ah, Grasshopper, Marketing 101 from an old broad that has been doing this for a very, very long time, in many industries.

Yes, many people tell you the ultimate goal is to sell that $1,000 product to your customer, that it is easier to sell 10 people a $1,000 product than it is to sell 1000 people a $10 product.....the revenue is the same, but from there on...things are so not the same...

What happens next?
Unless your product is TRULY extraordinary - how easy do you think it will be to sell those 10 people another $1,000 course?? If you really get to know the folks that ARE selling big-ticket courses - the honest ones will tell you that they work for 6 months on the new course, and then market like crazy and spend $$$$ on ad costs - and then the REALLY honest ones will tell that they actually do have an occasional major flop and they just lost half the year's income.

One very well-known internet marketer recently actually STOPPED his launch 36 hours in because the metrics were terrible. He completely redid everything and relaunched several weeks later. And yeah, his affiliates were more than a little upset. But he knew what he would lose if he let it continue and was not willing to take the loss.

On the other tough do you think it is to sell another $10 product to your 1,000 buyers? Could you do it over and over again - without the stress, uncertainty, and expense of a major launch every time?

Yes, you can. And with a little planning, you can create an evergreen funnel of low-ticket products that your customers will love, and will provide you with a business that will steadily grow, creating a relatively low-stress, long-term income. Mix in a few higher products from time to time, but always have a price point for everyone in your audience...those 'no-brainer-buy-decision' low-ticket products are your bread and butter.

Matt Bacak, considered one of the TOP email marketers in the industry, sells his 'signature' product for a whopping $5.60 - it was below $5.00 but he had it on a dimesale for a while....the funnel has 5 products and the highest price point is $97...but he's made 15,000 PLUS SALES. At minimum - that is a $75,000 funnel....and it's evergreen.

The bottom line is that although this event was a fun little thing a group of us threw together - it was still based on sound, tried and true marketing principles: Give your customer a great value for their money...and understand that those pennies can add up quickly when the sales start rolling in....Good Quality + High Volume + Low Margins = A WIN FOR EVERYONE.

A concept that seemed to work well for Mr. Walton....check the bottom of the newsletter if you have not seen what the kerfluffle is all about....
