So sorry but we are under a serious high wind advisory here, the power company has even sent out notifications of expected outages - the power has already blinked out 3 times - and the peak of the storm is not expected until later this afternoon - right at our normal Zoom time!
So rather than wait until the last minute, I am tentatively rescheduling to next Wednesday, and will confirm with new details tomorrow!

Today is the OFFICIAL launch of Jen's Create Winning Sales Letters With ChatGPT from Jen at MyNAMS - long story there, but WarriorPlus sent the "LIVE" notice out a bit early so we were all promoting waaay ahead of the real launch date, but I continue to be impressed with this one - and Jen says that the entire sales letter was written with their software and ChatGPT. VERY impressive!!

Several readers have reached out to ask about the many email software programs that have been released lately, so I thought I would address that question here:
First of all, if it is a solution that provides the sending services (not just the software) unless I know the vendor well, my email list is too important to trust to a stranger! My readers are the most important asset I have, and I would never take that risk.

But many of the programs are just offering email management software, which means that you must provide the SMTP service to actually send your emails.
|
The sales letters will often make it sound as though you can send your newsletters through your own website hosting provider, which IS true for most of us - but most hosts seriously limit, or 'throttle', the number of emails you can send per hour. This could be as low as 50 or as high as 1000, which is probably fine if you have a very small list, or are not worried about sending out time-sensitive emails to a larger list.

The best solution is usually to use a third party SMTP such as SendGrid, Maigun, SendinBlue or even Amazon SES.
|
Unfortunately, while you will have more control over your list, the costs of using these SMTP services has risen dramatically over the last year, and you are likely to find your mailing cost is going to increase substantially.
|
The exception to this is Amazon SES - SUPER cheap but also not easy to set up - definitely not for the tech challenged.
So...just a heads up - be sure to do your homework before diving into one of these new mailing products!
