Well, we are still stuck wth gray, drizzly-almost-foggy conditions here, which I admit is not terribly motivating but work goes on, right?? And soooo much going on right now - so I have to admit that I am hiding in my office right now - and may stay here for the foreseeable future ;-)

As many of you know who have been readers for a while, I am not a big fan of 'all-in-one' platforms. Yes, it IS convenient to have your email, website, marketing, shopping cart, membership, store, etc all handled via one access point - it is also dangerous.
Platforms are run by people - and people do not always make the best decisions. Last night, Mike Filsaime, the man behind the Groove platform, and someone with YEARS of experience building and running these kinds of platforms sent out an email that left me speechless - here is the link to his 'State of the Groovion' video and PDF https://groovedigital.com/groovion

I have not watched the video yet and probably won't because reading the PDF was enough. Whether you are a customer of Groove or not - I strongly recommend reading the PDF because this scenario has played out with so many similar platforms over the years. Yes, they DO claim that they will survive, and for all of the customers that invested heavily in this platform, I truly hope they do - but they have a tough road ahead. They also owe affiliates commissions and openly admit that they have only reached out to the top 25 affiliates to explain the situation - the rest have heard nothing from them!

There are only a couple of 'all-inclusive' platforms that have been able to make the model work, but they are rare as the proverbial hen's teeth and expensive.
Yep, it can be a PITA bouncing from one platform to another to get my work done - but if one services disappears on me - it does not take my entire business with it.
