I love being the CEO - Chief Everything Officer - of my own business. Most days LOL!
|
But then there are weeks like this one - in the middle of my launch, my desktop email software decided not to work, so I had to use my iPad to answer emails. It mysteriously started working again this am.
|
In the midst of uploading the bonus for Alice's Card Deck launch - Dropbox decided it did not feel like working.....
|
At some point, I decided I did not feel like working...LOL nope, just kidding.
The point is that every day, us homepreneurs face bumps in the road, and usually without any backup or resources. No tech team, no WordPress guru, no graphics artist or copywriter.
And if you are new to the solo routine - it can be discouraging, because we always think that everyone else is doing great. They have their act together and they know WAAAAY more than we do.

Obviously, I know more than most of my readers because I am doing Workshops, and sending out a newsletter and just launched a course, right??
|
LOL!! Far, far from it!
The truth is that I learn something new (and oftentimes, USELESS! LOL) every single day. I struggle with the tech, I curse at my computer, and I have to move the cat off my desk every 10 minutes or so.
But every day I also move the needle a little bit in my business. I keep moving forward. I stay as positive and focused as I can.

Over the last year, I have focused on Digital Planners, learning everything that I could and adding my own spin to them, and it's been a major plus for my business AND...I discovered that I love working with them!
|
But a year ago? I barely knew anything about them, and quite frankly..they scared me to death!
|
But I could see the potential and so I hung in there, and forced myself to work through my fear to figure them out, and have been teaching others how to customize them for the last several months. Now, I have enough confidence to teach others to actually create them from scratch ;-)
|
The moral of this story: If you want to have your own business - don't give up too soon. Don't assume that you are the only one that just can't quite make it work, or the only one that doesn't know how to build a website, or get your email to work or...or...or...that list can go on for pages!
We have all been there - and I am usually there 4 times a day ;-( - just hang in there and it will get better.
